Nomadic Kelim
"The Nomadic Kelim is a very classic and traditional kilim. Like all our kilims, the Nomadic Kelim is woven by hand in a 100% natural and traditional way. When sourcing the raw material, we attach great importance to environmental friendliness and maintain this focus throughout the entire manufacturing process.
The Nomadic Kelim comes from Shiraz, a stronghold of Persian carpet art, and impresses with its detailed design.
Its simple but colorful design is typical of traditional kilims. The borders and edge decorations are particularly fine and detailed. Surrounded by four alternating frames, a green rectangle forms the center of the Nomadic Kelim. Decorated with rich ornamentation, two of the frames and the green rectangle create a balancing counterpoint to the yellow background of the design.
The motifs of the kilim are usually a real speciality. Traditional kilims usually depict animals, plants or emotions. In addition, the motifs usually also provide information about the origin of the kilim. The designs and motifs passed down through generations are the decisive factor in determining the provenance of a piece.
The history of the kilim can be traced back many centuries and makes antique finds in particular attractive collector's items and sought-after rarities. Even back then, the old nomadic tribes used the fabrics woven from colorful yarns and decorated with ethnic designs as blankets, wall hangings or even as floor coverings.
An anti-slip mat is an indispensable and urgently needed addition to kilims. In particular, to avoid the risk of slipping and to guarantee unrestricted suitability for everyday use."
