"The Diwan carpet from RIS RUG has its origins in Persia, the cradle of the finest carpet and handicraft art. There it is produced sustainably using a modern combination process of classic craftsmanship and machine finishing.

The Diwan carpet is a contemporary piece that is reminiscent of the reinterpretation of the classic ornamentation of an oriental carpet. The broken and heavily obscured design elements of an oriental carpet, such as a centered medallion, can only be guessed at.

Due to its abstract design, it is an absolute eye-catcher, but still exudes the necessary calm of a noble design classic. Like the 'Soban', the 'Diwan' can be compared to a sky covered in fine wool clouds and gently breaking open. This almost dramatic metaphor is underlined by the brownish, shiny background made of fine viscose.

As with almost all of our carpets, we recommend placing a mat underneath the 'Diwan'. This way, nothing stands in the way of slip-free and safe everyday use."
