"The 'Faces' design is a contemporary carpet inspired by the purist interior design trend. Its organic shape and light base tone make the Faces carpet a modern design piece and elegant home accessory.

The design is accentuated by black metal threads that form lines to form abstract faces. The Faces carpet originated in India, where it was tufted by hand in an environmentally friendly way.

Hand tufting carpets is a relatively quick manufacturing method that has been practiced since the 18th century. The carpet yarn is shot onto a base material, usually a rather coarse-meshed fabric, using so-called tufting guns. There are two pile variants in carpet tufting, the so-called loop pile and the cut pile. The loop pile remains uncut and forms a small loop at the end. With the cut pile, however, this loop is cut, giving the carpet a velvety surface structure.
